This modern contemporary property was just missing one thing, an outside living area. As the existing garden was considerably lower than the property this seemed the only solution for a young & modern family. The site was cleared & prepared by PDG Groundworks, levels were surveyed & setting out profiles where fitted. Strip footings were excavated & the foundation walls & the retaining walls were constructed. The inner balcony space was filled with type 1 MOT hardcore & compacted to the correct level. Before paving could commence the stainless steel base posts were fitted. A 50mm sand & cement screed was laid onto the hardcore area to form the working levels, on to this was laid 30mm Magma Granite flamed paving supplied by Stockscape . All the underside of the stone paving was brushed with a pre mix primer & laid on a full polymer bedding mix. The paving areas were jointed with GftK 850 Epoxy resin mortar mix. On completion of the paving the fitting of the glass & stainless steel balustrade took place. Collingwood stainless LED lighting was fitted with a stainless steel water feature set in one corner, all operational by remote control.
