Stockscape liaised with the client to outline initial budgets and material choice. After consultation, Crystal Black granite material was sampled for approval. After approval and a price was agreed the client issued architectural drawings in CAD detailing the specifics of the scheme. Stockscape then created a cutting schedule for the bespoke material and determined what could be supplied from stock. The cutting list was then sent to the client for approval. Logistics liaised with the client to determine if there were any site restrictions and if specific off-load was needed. A deposit was taken and the material was placed on order. When the material arrived logistics delivered using the agreed method which was a specialist mounted ‘Moffit’ vehicle (a fork-lift that detaches from the wagon and off-loads pallets). The pallets were all labelled and corresponded to the cutting list that had been previously approved, thus making it simple for the contractors to fix the material using the site drawings as reference.
In addition to the Crystal black granite the client chose Porphyry cubes which were delivered from stock using the same delivery method as above. Delivery schedules were discussed with the client to ensure that site was not hampered by the storing of material but always had materials to hand so the fixing was not delayed.
Overall the scheme demonstrates a good mix of stock and bespoke material, the client was delighted with the end result and the all round service offered by Stockscape. The entire scheme from initial enquiry to completion was 12 weeks. Stockscape also offered a fantastic ‘after service’ visiting site to ensure everything exceeded customer expectations.
